What To Buy Your Favorite Bookworm As A Gift

In honor of my birthday month, I’m here to talk about bookish gifts!

The obvious answer is books. That can be difficult though. Do you know exactly what book they want? Have they pre-ordered it? Do they already own the book?

It can be incredibly tricky to surprise your bookworm. Here are some wonderful bookish ideas to get you started.

$ Bookish Candles

Thanks largely to the explosion of bookstagram, bookish merchandise has grown exponentially over the years. Bookish candles are an inexpensive way to surprise your bookworm.

A quick search on Etsy for bookish candle will give you a plethora of results. You can treat your bookworm to a generic candle like ‘Old Books’ or ‘Neverending TBR’. You can give them an extra special treat and surprise them with a candle for their favorite book.

Prices vary from company to company but you typically can get a 4 oz candle for ~$8.

Flickerwix is my favorite bookish candle company! You can see all of the reasons why they’re amazing here. If your bookworm appreciates glitter, Flickerwix is sure to be a hit.

Novelly Yours Candles is another solidly reliable and awesome company.

$$ Litographs

Are you looking to ‘wow’ your bookworm? If so, Litographs is for you. Litographs is a company that makes art literally out of books. Their designs are created out of text from books. I own several of their shirts and a poster and have been very happy with them all.

Scarlet (Marissa Meyer) Poster

Lithographs has a wide variety of items. T-shirts, Totes, Posters, Scarves, Pillows, & Blankets. They’ve got products for readers of all genres. Childrens’s, Young Adult, American Literature, British Literature, Essays, Films, Mystery, Sci-Fi Fantasy, & more.

They even make Custom Litographs. Best present ever? I think so.

$$$ Book Box

Book subscription boxes are here to stay. There’s a TON of them of there. I did a round up of the Young Adult focused boxes here. Gift subscriptions tend to run in 3 month increments so this will be a pricier gift.

My absolute favorite Young Adult box is Owlcrate. Amazing curation, great book picks, & top notch customer service.

Owlcrate
The Librarian Box

The Librarian Box does custom boxes which would be a very special treat especially for fandoms that get overlooked. [I can never find items for the Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness or the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima.]

Unplugged Book Box

Unplugged Book Box would be a great option for those looking for a box that gives useable items like drink ware, candles, and body products.

Are Young Adult books not for your bookworm? No worries, Cratejoy has an abundance of book boxes. Fantasy/Sci-Fi, Romance, Mystery, Thriller & Horror. Or check out my directory of book boxes.

  1. Oh my gosh, page flags and bookmarks for me. I always need more page flags and bookmarks. How could a person ever have too many? Can’t be done. Also, little notebooks. All the bookish people I know (well, most) are obsessed with having more and more and more little notebooks, no matter how many mostly-empty little notebooks they already own.
