Directory of Book Boxes

Welcome to Alison in Bookland’s Directory of Book Boxes! I will strive to make this as current and comprehensive as possible (while working full time/having a life). Please comment below/contact me if I’ve missed a box, a box is no longer active, or something else is incorrect.

To be listed on this directory, the ‘book box’ meets the following criteria:

Package contains at least ONE new (not used) book
- Box may contain older releases
Package may also contain other items including but not limited to: artwork, candles, art prints, home items, self care items, toys, etc.
Box ships regularly on a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis
Box is part of a subscription plan or can be bought as a single purchase
Company has a website for consumers to buy through
The company/box is active (see below)

To be considered active, the ‘book box’ must:

Have sent at least TWO packages so far
Still active on a social media platform
- Social media needs to be focused on company/information for box. Not just random ‘book’ photos/quotes/etc.
Is not reasonably behind with packages being sent out.
- COVID does make this discretion difficult.

For your safety:

ALWAYS research a box before purchasing/subscribing.
- Look up reviews on Cratejoy or Facebook.
- Google ‘X unboxings’.
- Search for unboxings on Instagram/Youtube.
  - Make sure to look at comments on those posts as well.
- Ask about the box in bookish circles online (FB groups, IG, etc).
ALWAYS pay with Paypal or Credit Card.
- Make note of when your last day of protection is and don’t be afraid to ask for a refund with company/Paypal/Credit Card if box isn’t shipped in a timely manner.
